The Journal of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (JoMMID) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal published quarterly by the Pasteur Institute of Iran. Established in November 2013 and accredited by the Iranian Commission for Accreditation of Medical Journals (October 19, 2014), JoMMID serves as a platform for disseminating high-quality research on infectious diseases of viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic origin.
JoMMID welcomes submissions of the following article types: original/research articles, review articles, short communications, case reports, letters to the editor, commentaries, and clinical trial reports. Peer Review Process:
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process, where at least two independent, qualified reviewers with expertise in the relevant field evaluate the submission for scientific quality, originality, and relevance. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and absence of conflicts of interest with the authors. The process ensures anonymity for both authors and reviewers. Following peer review, accepted manuscripts are subject to final editorial approval to confirm adherence to journal standards.

The Policy of Screening for Plagiarism |
All manuscripts must be free from plagiarism contents. Manuscripts submitted to Journal of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (JoMMID) will be screened for plagiarism using Similarity Check / iThenticate plagiarism detection tools. All authors are suggested to use plagiarism detection software to do the similarity checking before submitting their manuscript to the journal. JoMMID employs robust plagiarism detection software to screen all submitted manuscripts for originality. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism are rejected immediately. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the article will be retracted and removed from the published list, with a notice placed in the withdrawn list. The journal will immediately reject papers leading to plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
JoMMID adheres to COPE guidelines for handling retractions, corrections, and expressions of concern. Articles may be retracted due to plagiarism, data falsification, ethical violations, or significant errors that invalidate the findings. Minor errors may be addressed through published corrections. Retracted articles are removed from the published list, marked as retracted, and listed in the journal’s withdrawn list with a clear explanation. |

Journal of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (JoMMID) is an international open-access peer-reviewed journal in English that publishes original research papers, review papers, and clinical studies related to infectious diseases of bacterial, viral and parasitic origin. The journal also accepts papers describing research on epidemiology of infection, diagnosis and treatment, pathogenesis, antibiotics and resistance, and immunology.
JoMMID accepts original articles, review articles, short communications reporting clinical and basic research studies, case studies and clinical trials of significant scientific and ethical standards in the following areas:
